1.4116, also called X50CRMoV15 or 420MoV series. Slight variations exist depending on the foundry where the steel was purchased. This is a very standard German steel type for kitchen cutlery that provides excellent corrosion resistance, durability, and an ability to hold a sharp edge.Generally heat treated to a 57-58 Rockwell hardness.
