Ceramic cookware is designed for easy food release, but sticking can develop over time from high heat, residue buildup, or improper care. Unlike stainless steel, ceramic pans perform best on medium or low heat. Excessive heat can cause oils and food particles to bond to the surface, reducing nonstick performance.
Cooking sprays can also leave behind residue that builds up over time. For best results, use small amounts of oil or butter, preheat the pan gradually, and clean with warm water, mild soap, and a soft sponge.
If food begins sticking, a baking soda and warm water paste can help remove buildup and restore smoother cooking performance.
