Ceramic rods typically don't come in specific grit sizes due to their construction process. However, notable differences in texture allow us to assign an anecdotal grit size for comparison purposes. For a rod measuring 5/8 inch with a texture comparable to around 3000 grit, we recommend the MasterGrade ST-3700. While most ceramic rods are fired to a hardness of 8 on the Mohs scale, the ST-3700 boasts a hardness of 9 Mohs, just one level below a diamond's perfect 10. This 11-inch rod offers additional features to minimize damage risk, such as a square handle to prevent rolling off surfaces, a recessed rubber tip, and a steel core for added durability. https://knifemerchant.com/mastergrade...
