The handle is black. Layered pieces of ho-wood that are pressure-infused with polyurethane to make them extremely resistant to moisture.
Regarding the Kikuichi SEM150 Utility/Petty knife: what color is the wood handle? Kikuichi Semi-Stainless 5.9 in. Utility Knife
The handles I have seen in person are a reddish-brown, but in the photo on your website it looks black.
