Grit is a difficult question when it comes to ceramic rods, because the term "grit" refers to an abrasive material that is sieved to a particular particle size. Ceramic rods don't contain added abrasive material, but the texture can vary according to the mold that is used when kilning the product. With that caveat, it is still a relevant question because you want an idea of how the rod will perform.
